DENVER – The 2008 World’s Toughest Rodeo featuring Toughest Cowboy presented by Jägermeister, the ironman event of rodeo, heads west to Phoenix , Ariz. , for its third stop on the nine stop rodeo revolution tour. Fox Sports Network (FSN) will broadcast the exciting action from Jobing.com Arena beginning this weekend. The field was narrowed to 10 cowboys following the stop in Raleigh, N.C., but the question still remains: “Who will win the deed to Jäger Ranch?”

Following the first two stops Bandy Murphy of Weatherford, Okla. , remains atop the leaderboard of this one-of-a-kind rodeo, where the cowboys wear jerseys and ride in the new match style competition in three roughstock events. Murphy, who is sponsored by The Home Depot, won the first tournament stop in Kansas City and was second to Shane Proctor of Powell , Wyo. , in Raleigh . Murphy will be looking to extend his overall lead with a tournament win in Phoenix . He will be matched against Jägermeister’s Clovis Crane of Lebanon, Pa.

Other matches to keep an eye on will be Trey Broussard of Estherwood, La., vs. Erik Wolford of Clinton, Mich., and Jared Green of Socorro, N.M. against 2006 PRCA World Champion Bull Rider B.J. Schumacher of Hillsboro, Wis. Broussard and Wolford are currently tied in the overall series standings with four wins apiece, while Green and Schumacher are tied with five wins apiece. All four cowboys will be looking to separate themselves from the others to climb higher in the overall series standings and get one step closer to winning Jäger Ranch.

Fans can watch each exciting episode of Toughest Cowboy weekly on several FSN affiliates in primetime (day and time depend on each affiliate) and at midnight every Saturday nationwide, please consult local listings. Each show will take fans into the heart of the action to savor the triumph, suffer the anguish and share the intensity of the ultimate challenge that is Toughest Cowboy. Nowhere else will you see 10 cowboys riding bulls and broncs all in one night in the same arena.

Rodeo is among the fastest growing sports in America , and Toughest Cowboy presented by Jägermeister is revolutionizing the sport by introducing an exciting and innovative format to new audiences in venues across the United States . Unlike other rodeos where riders usually compete in just one discipline, Toughest Cowboy is an unprecedented test of endurance as all competitors must ride in three disciplines in one night (Bareback Riding, Bull Riding and Saddle Bronc Riding). The events feature head-to-head matches throughout the season leading to the playoffs and championship…ultimately crowning someone the Toughest Cowboy Champion.

Toughest Cowboy is a true test of endurance and strength and only the strong will survive. Each competitor must come ready to ride both bulls and broncs every night eight seconds at a time. In the end, one competitor will be crowned the champion and become the new owner of Jäger ranch.
